The rain is falling and I am sitting inside writing about the rain. An open window lets a cool breeze into the class room as the teacher tells us what to do.
I love the feeling of rain falling on my head, dripping off the trees, running down my neck. When the rain is falling fast, I have to stay inside but I feel like going outside.
I sit here watching the raindrops having races down the window pane. It’s like they’re scared of something and they have to escape.
I enjoyed your writing about the rain, Annabelle, especially the part about raindrops having races down the window pane. I can't say I have ever felt like standing outside in the rain - I don't enjoy getting wet! But, maybe that's why children often don't like to wear raincoats ;-)
